Banana Ball Rules



RULE 1: WIN THE INNING, GET THE POINT

Every inning is worth one point. The team that gets the most runs in an inning, gets a point for that inning, except for the last inning where every run counts as a point.

RULE 2: NO STEPPING OUT OF THE BOX or BATTER IS CHARGED WITH A STRIKE IF IT IS THE THIRD STRIKE, IT IS AN OUT

RULE 3: NO BUNTING

If you bunt, the batter is OUT.

RULE 4: BATTERS CAN STEAL FIRST BASE

Any passed ball, wild pitch or any pitch, batter can attempt to steal first.

RULE 5: NO WALKS ALLOWED

If the pitcher throws ball 4, it becomes a sprint. The hitter can advance as many bases as they want - the ball becomes live once every fielder has touched the ball and then the batter runner can be put out. (The defense must throw the ball around the horn while the batter/runner advances at their own risk).

RULE 6: NO MOUND VISITS ALLOWED

RULE 7: IF A FAN CATCHES A FOUL BALL, IT’S AN OUT (If contact is made with another person, the catch is no good).

RULE 8: SHOWDOWN TIE BREAKER - BRACKET PLAY ONLY

If tied after the last inning, tie breaker is pitcher, catcher and 1 fielder vs. 1 batter who has to score (example, max runs score is 1st tie breaker is 1). IF tied at 1 to 1 after first tie breaker, the 2nd tie breaker inning is pitcher and catcher vs. batter. Pool games can end in a tie, bracket play games will go into tie breaker.

RULE 9: NO NEW INNING AFTER 70 MINUTES

RULE 10: EACH TEAM MAY PERFORM THREE DANCES OR ROUTINES WITH OR WITHOUT MUSIC

Up to one minute in length anytime after the inning has started. As a group or individual culminating in a pitch in an inning (batter must be in the box before starting and batter must stay in the box ready for the pitch).

• Game will not be held up waiting for any music to start - delaying the game will result in a ball called every 10 seconds the game is delayed.

RULE 11: HAVE FUN!!
